On social media, engagement, or people interacting with your post, is the name of the game. For this reason, the more confrontational and combative you are the more engagement you tend to get. Many people love to post the same old trope, “Mormons aren’t Christians” for two reasons. One, because they actually believe it and two, they know it will get people all riled up.
Case in point:
Mormonism is not Christianity.

Lizzie loves to state that Mormons aren’t Christian and then acts surprised with the response.
Whatever you do. Do not do what I did here.
My mentions are wild. Just donβt do it.
Even though itβs still true. https://t.co/KVahPDyxJw
β π· LIZZIEπ· (@farmingandJesus) November 25, 2024
And while some Latter-day Saints swoop in and try to debate Lizzie, others created their own trend of stating what Mormon’s aren’t. Which one do you like most?

Which one did you like best? What is your best response to “Mormons Aren’t Christians?”

Mormons aren’t Christians? We are not crawdads, either. I am a Mormon in part because I’m glad there is space separating us from White Christian Nationalists, radical right Catholics, those that want to have the Church overpower the state, those that want forced prayer in public schools, and those that want my tax dollars going to Christian Academies. I don’t want a theocracy, as Christian Dominionists do. I don’t want my tax dollars going to genocide and dislocation in Palestine, as Christian Fundies do. I don’t want Christian fascism, as those who run Bob Jones and Liberty Universities do. I don’t want America overthrown as Christian Trump supporters do. I don’t want Gilead established in America as Christian misogynists do.
So I’ll happily takes the barbs that these pseudo, faux Christians throw at Mormons (LDS), because I know what people that espouse all that aren’t and what Mormons are, … Christians.
@steven weaver, Hi! I got thrown off a bit but that too. Baptism is an EXCELLENT way to start understanding. When we our baptized, our souls (I don’t quite understand it all) are born again. We become new creatures. Meaning Christ who begat us/ made this possible spiritually is now both Father and Son. A lot of people are both a father as well as a son. Christ speaks of His Father SO OFTEN though. I have a personal witness of the truth of Joseph Smith’s vision where he saw them standing together. The Father, our God, Christ our older brother, and Savior and Redeemer new father of our souls and advocate with the Father. It is said the 3 are one. But Christ asks us to “be one” with him too “as Thou Father art in me and I in Thee.” Meaning, we become so set on the same task that we work seamlessly together. Separate rolls that support each other, work so well together. I also have an INCREDIBLE personal witness that fills my bones of the truth of the Book of Mormon. In 3 Nephi a voice is heard from heaven, as in the Bible when Christ is baptized saying “Behold my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased”. Or Christ at Lazarus’ tomb saying “I thank thee Father that thou hast heard me”. In Ether in the Book of Mormon, the Brother of Jared’s great faith brings the “Lord” to reveal himself. It is Christ, as a spirit before he came to earth and received a body himself. Jehovah… Christ acting as God… Leading me to find evidence that when we were cut off from God that it greatly limited our access to Him in this world, and Christ must needs LITERALLY be our connection to Him, this why we even pray in His name. Christ being perfect was never cut off from God, our Heavenly Father. It is through Christ that we reach God. He is the only one that can bring us home, than can atone for us cause He was the only one perfect (I assume being half divine in birth had something to do with that ;)) Anyway, I don’t know much, but it makes MUCH MORE SENSE to believe they are separate beings than the same. Modern day Catholicism was created greatly by decisions made by men who were already arguing about doctrine during the meeting of the Nicean Creed. St. Nicholas is said to have gotten in a fist fight he was so upset about the creation of a Trinity, and not keeping them separate beings. Many other things were voted upon and changed, but it was the only way to stop the fighting and save bits of Christianity altogether, and not lose it due to arguments that we’re getting out of control between groups. Anyway, not sure if this makes sense at all. Just hoping to answer your question and help at all if I could. Best wishes to you, my friend, and happy baptism!! π«Άπ€
steven weaver croydon england i would like to mention that the church of jesus christ of latter day saints do not believe in the traditional concept of the trinity the doctrine of the church believes that the father son and holy ghost are three separate beings could a person of the latter day saint faith explain why the doctrine of the church contradicts with the book of mormon in the book of mormon at ether chapter 3 verse 14 jesus says I am jesus christ i am the father and the son their is no mention of a separate being also the traditional concept of the trinity of the three in one can be found in the new testament of the holy bible in the king james bible at 1st john chapter 5 verse 7 to 8 it says there are three that bear record in heaven the father the word the holy ghost and these three are one and there are three that bear witness in earth the spirit the water and the blood and these three agree in one so the doctrine of the three in one holy trinity is taught in the new testament of the holy bible also jesus christ said at matthew chapter 28 verse 19 you should baptize in the name of the father son and holy ghost noticed jesus mentions the three in one as i am not baptized into any religion i had been thinking about the church of jesus christ of latter day saints but with the evidence of the traditional concept of the trinity i have now decided to be baptized in the roman catholic church just to mention the roman catholic church was the first church in europe and started 2000 years ago 50 days after pentecost their are now 1.379 billion roman catholics worldwide and growing it is the leading christian church in the world the church of jesus christ of latter day saints just have over the 17 million worldwide and jehovah witnesses have the lowest on 8.7million worldwide the anglican church [ church of england] have 85 million worldwide
The “Mormons aren’t Charybdis” one is my personal favorite.
Surprised that the word Mormon is used in communication.
