I’m Nearing The End Of My Mission

I’m Nearing The End Of My Mission

Editor’s note: Many are familiar with my daughter, Sara Arkell, also known as The Piano Gal. Sara has been called to serve in the New York Syracuse Mission. This is a series on her weekly letters that we will be posting on the site for those who wish to follow along with her mission. You can read her previous emails here.

Ernest decided he wants to get baptized! YAY!!! We had a church tour with him & when we were in the baptismal font room, I just asked “Do you wanna get baptized??” And he said “yeah!”  Woohoo so excited for him!! Keep him in your prayers!

This week was rather slow. Our teaching pool is down to 1 friend but we’ve been finding a couple potentials which are little glimpses of hope from Heavenly Father that I’m very very grateful for

Got transfer news this morning! Sister Holden and I are both staying here together which was expected but the unexpected part is that we’re getting a new companion named Sister McPhie so I’ll be in a trio again. That will be exciting! This morning it kind of hit me that I’m nearing the end of my mission. I’m about to start my third to last transfer! CRAZYYYY.

I’m cruising through the Book of Mormon! I find myself literally craving it during the day. I’m already in Mosiah 2 so there is a good chance I’ll finish it maybe two more times before I’m home. I LOVE READING IT!

Short email this week 🙂 hope you are all doing well! Keep praying, keep studying, keep going to church. So many blessings come from wholeheartedly living the gospel of Jesus Christ!!

Elder Arkell Arrived In Argentina!

We didn’t get an email from Evan this week because he was busy traveling, but he briefly called us to say that he made it to Argentina after 11 hours in the air.

He now gets to hop on a bus on an 8 hour ride to his first area in Mar del Plata. He should be there on Thursday at some point.
