Of Skies And Sunsets

Of Skies And Sunsets
Editor’s note: Many are familiar with my daughter, Sara Arkell, also known as The Piano Gal. Sara has been called to serve in the New York Syracuse Mission. This is a series on her weekly letters that we will be posting on the site for those who wish to follow along with her mission. You can read her previous emails here.
This week was fun!! I was able to go to Mission Leadership Council on Thursday at President’s house 🙂 I’m grateful for the opportunity I have to be in leadership, it’s a very humbling experience. I learned so much and got to see some of my mission friends from past districts! Love it so much!

The sunsets this week were so gorgeous. Sister Aston is obsessed with skies & sunsets too so it’s fun to be in awe together at it all! Every time I see a sunset, I’m reminded of God’s love for me. Pay attention to the little reminders that God sends your way! And I would love to hear what yours is if you want to email me back & tell me!

One of our friends has decided to get baptized on September 7th now. He still has a lot of things he’s working on but we’re hoping it will end up being sooner than September because he needs the Holy Ghost in his life more than anything right now! Please pray so hard for him.

We had a ward BBQ on Saturday! It was colder than it has been for a while, though, so we ended up having to eat inside. I love the Rome Ward!! I honestly would feel content staying in Rome for the rest of my mission. It’s going to be sad when I end up getting transferred! I will definitely be coming back to visit plenty of times in the rest of my life. It’s like my second home now!

This week was pretty slow so not much more to say! This week will be full of miracles, though. I can feel it!

Also Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! My dad is one of a kind, love him to death. The mission really does make you appreciate people & things that you took for granted beforehand! He’s the BEST of the best
