Elder Samuel Baird and some of his fellow missionaries decided to do some missionary work in an unconventional way recently – they were determined to put Rubik’s Cubes to good use.
What do you get when you collect 600 Rubik’s Cubes and put them together? Well, after 90 minutes of hard work, the result can be seen in the video below.
Elder Baird shared the following on this mission’s Facebook page:
“Rubik’s cubes have been a big part of my life for the past 6 years or so, one of the biggest reasons isn’t the fun of playing with the puzzles themselves but rather all of the friends and relationships I have been able to make at Rubik’s cube competitions and events.
Over the last few years I have gone through ups and downs but I have always have had the support of those friends that I have been able to make. I know that Jesus Christ been able to bless me through something as trivial as a hobby by giving me those relationships with others.”
Elder Baird and his fellow missionaries sure wowed us with their talent and ingenuity! It’s beautiful to see these missionaries, all with different talents and abilities, able to share their gifts, talents, and hobbies with the world to help bring them closer to Jesus Christ.
