The Chosen is steadily moving towards it’s goal of reaching one billion people across the globe with the message of Jesus Christ and his life, thanks to The Chosen app.
To date, they have reached over 100,000,000 people, but they made an intriguing decision recently to only allow access to view The Chosen on their app or their website at thechosen.tv.
When the goal is to reach as many people as possible, it seems almost counterintuitive to restrict the number of channels they allow it on.
The Chosen App
The producer of The Chosen, Dallas Jenkins, explained why they made the decision they did in a recent email to their fanbase:
There’s a lot of advantages to moving you and all our fans to our app. For starters, making a show outside the Hollywood system means we’re safest when we don’t rely on any big companies to host our story. It also allows us to notify you and share access to all our newest content in one place. Plus, part of our goal is to build a community, and that’s really hard to do when everyone is watching the show in a different place.
So, if you haven’t already downloaded the app, make sure to do so here. The app is free, has no ads, and allows you to cast the show to your tv (what more could you want?). But like we said, you can also watch future episodes at our website, thechosen.tv.
If you run into any trouble with the app, visit thechosen.tv and click the help icon in the bottom right corner. Our support team is happy to help out.
