President Dallin H. Oaks was the latest Church leader to appear in the #HearHim video series about learning to hear the voice of the Lord.
“When you get an impression, act upon it, however unusual it seems or however inadequate you feel in following it,” said President Oaks. “You may not know the reason, but blessings will follow to you and to someone else if you hear Him.”
President Oaks shared an account of a time years ago when he was asked to speak in a Sacrament meeting and the inspiration he received regarding the topic he should cover – shoplifting. In this case, he was able to have a church member come up to him after his message and share how it was exactly what she needed to hear.
