It was a busy day for police in Provo, Utah as both the Missionary Training Center and Provo Temple were the locations of incidents of criminal activity.
Provo MTC Shooting
At 2:28 am on Monday August 3, 2020, the driver of a white SUV shot multiple rounds at the Main MTC security booth at 900 East in Provo, UT. Police are on the scene and investigating.

After their initial reports of a white SUV the Provo Police now believe the vehicle involved to be a “light in color Subaru Outback.”
Provo Police Investigators are requesting the communities assistance to help identify the suspect(s) and the owner of the vehicle in the attached pictures.

Provo Temple Trespassing
The Provo Police Criminal Investigation Division is investigating a criminal mischief and trespassing at the Provo Temple. If you can identify this individual please contact Detective Patterson at npatterson@provo.org. All persons are innocent until proven guilty.
According to reports, several glass windows and doors at the temple were damaged.
BYU’s Daily Universe stated that Detective Campbell of the Provo Police Department didn’t know whether this incident is connected to the Missionary Training Center shooting that took place earlier that day.
