One of my biggest weaknesses is that I can never remember peoples’ names.
Tell me your name and before you can blink I’ll have forgotten it.
It’s not that I don’t care, it has more to do with my bad memory from various concussions I’ve had.
As for Satan, he knows your name and he remembers it, but he’ll never use it.
Why?
The reason is he would rather call you something degrading and have you label yourself based on your sins and weaknesses.
God, on the other hand, will call you by name when He sees you. And the sound of His voice saying your name will be glorious!
I came across the following video a while back and it was one of the most powerful moments I’ve had as I’ve considered the differences between Deity and the devil.
This video is by Todd Wagner, who is a pastor of another faith, but he speaks a true principle that we would do well to remember.
As you listen to the following message, consider how this has played out in your own life?
Satan knows your name, but he calls you by your sin. God knows your sin, but He calls you by your name. pic.twitter.com/uvSyYnVU1i

Satan knows your name, but he calls you by your sin. God knows your sin, but He calls you by your name.
Wasn’t that powerful! May you always remember that you have a loving Father in Heaven who knows your sins, but will always call you by your name. Your Elder Brother, Jesus Christ, paid the price for your sins and He is pleading your cause before a very loving and kind Heavenly Father.
We are so blessed to know of their goodness and be partakers of their grace. Come unto them will full purpose of heart.
