I was browsing YouTube recently and came across a video that struck a chord with me, and I feel like it will do the same for you.
To be honest, for a moment I thought it could be a video from the Mormon Channel – it was that well done.
A Utah family with a YouTube channel called 8 Passengers gave a glimpse into their family with a touching music video. It paints the good and bad experiences of each day and how they all contribute to a beautiful and simple life.
8 Passengers have close to 2 million subscribers on their YouTube channel on which they post daily videos Tuesday through Sunday sharing bits of their life with 6 very active kids.
You could say that blogging is a family affair as the mom, Ruby, has multiple sisters with YouTube vlogging channels of their own. In the empire of YouTube, their family is about as big as it gets.
The beautiful thing about this influential family is their motivation behind it all. Ruby has specifically stated that she is “on a mission to show the world there is power and influence in motherhood.” And videos like the one below, most definitely show that power and influence a mother, and father I might add, can have on the family and the world.
Check out the music video, Beauty in the Simple Life, below. Share it with someone you know who could appreciate this beautiful message. “The greatest joys and the greatest sorrows we experience are in family relationships. The joys come from putting the welfare of others above our own. That is what love is. And the sorrow comes primarily from selfishness, which is the absence of love. The ideal God holds for us is to form families in the way most likely to lead to happiness and away from sorrow.” – Henry B. Eyring
