Sometimes I get so tired of the internet and social media. Then when I learn of people like “Philosopher Bean” on Twitter, who is about to win a lifetime supply of peanut butter, the power of the internet and social media blows my mind!
“Bean”, as he is endearingly called, is a 14-year-old from Virginia who is autistic and has a very specific food preference. The only thing he likes to eat is peanut butter and jelly on English muffins.
I’m now on Jar #72. My mom says it’s time for you to have another peanut butter sale.
Thanks for your help.

His mom, Tracy, stocked up with 72 jars a while ago when Lidl peanut butter was on sale for 78 cents. Problem is, Bean is running low on peanut butter, and jar #72 was all he had left.
As Tracy explains, Bean is very sensitive to textures but his staple of English muffins and PB&J is keeping him healthy.
Bean took to social media to see if the Twitter elves at Lidl could grant him a wish and put their peanut butter back on sale so his mother could stock up again.
They did something even better – they offered 72 jars of peanut butter for free if Bean could get 72 retweets, which he did with ease.
After Bean got 93 retweets, Lidl upped the challenge. The next offer? Get 72,000 retweets on his Twitter post and he would have Lidl peanut butter for life!
If you get 72,000 RTs we’ll give you a lifetime supply of peanut butter.
While Bean weighed the offer, Lidl got their elves organized to prepare a special shipment.
Bean and his mom, Tracy, picked up their latest supply of peanut butter, jars 73, 74, 75…at the local store. Bean continues to watch his retweet count on Twitter, which is now over 20,000.
