Russell M. Nelson spoke on the importance of the Book of Mormon and the many things that it clarifies, teaches, and reveals. He also spoke of the way it blesses our life as it heals, comforts and consoles.
Elder Nelson wanted to hear from members of the Church and understand their perspective, so he asked the following:
When I spoke at #LDSconf, I asked what your life would be like without the Book of Mormon. What would you not have? What would you not know?

I spent some time browsing through the replies and wanted to share the best responses to his question. I think this exercise is beneficial because oftentimes we take blessings for granted solely because we didn’t every really think about it.
I believe the Book of Mormon has blessed us all in countless ways, and as you read through the answers you will gain a greater appreciation for the gift it is to us.
Former BYU Cougar tight end and NFL player Chad Lewis gave the following response:
I would be without my Liahona! The compass that points straight to Jesus Christ.

I wouldn't have the peaceful feeling of the Spirit that testifies of our Heavenly Father & His Son Jesus Christ as often.

I don't think I would have my life tbh. When going through serious depression and beginning to doubt the church, it's helped save me.

I would not personally know that my Savior loves and knows me. He knows me. And is there to help me.

I am more resilient in facing challenges, because it teaches me how to rely on the Savior and his atonement.

Tell us about your perspective. What would you not have or know without the Book of Mormon?
