Evie Clair, an LDS teen from Arizona who has made it to the semifinals of America’s Got Talent, had a stunning performance last night as she and her family received news that their father Amos had slipped into critical condition.
Evie’s incredible mother, Hillary, provided this update yesterday on the status of Amos:
“My sweetheart has declined to critical condition to the point of life support. Dr. K told me Amos is in the process of dying and Bishop Elwood gave him a blessing before he was sedated that released him in God’s timing.
At this point, there is no medical solution for the multiple organ failures in his body and the only consultation we are seeking is that of the Savior who with the Father created our bodies and knows how to heal them.”
One can only imagine the range of emotions that Evie and her family are experiencing at this moment, having to comprehend the realities of Amos’ condition, while at the same time perform in front of a live audience with millions of viewers around the globe.
Evie performed a beautiful cover of Ella Henderson’s song, “Yours”, which she played the piano surrounded by the most beautiful display of flowers.
Evie broke down for a brief moment after Simon Cowell reacted to her performance and said, “You’re dad is going to be so proud of you.”
You can watch Evie’s full performance, and hear the judges reactions, below.

The good news is that Evie Clair advanced after her performance and is now headed to the finals of America’s Got Talent!
